Burlap for first wall complete

Completed seaming together the first wall of natural burlap for the tunnel section today. It wasn’t easy to move it in a big wad but we had to get it out of the studio and fold / role it up. Next step is to cut out the tunnels and repeat for the other side.

We got a bunch of stuff in this week:

  1. Ring tool and thousands of rings
  2. Thousands of zip-ties
  3. A bunch of flood lights
  4. Hundreds of feet of light rope, green and white
  5. And the rest of the natural colored burlap

First wall nearly complete

Almost finished with one natural-colored wall. Man, that’s a lot of burlap! And messy, too. Now, to figure out how to fold it all back up…

Sewing preparations

Today we cut the first roll of burlap in preparation for sewing. It’s now lurking in the corner of my studio…

Also amassed supplies needed for the sewing machine: bobbins, needles, and ONE POUND of thread. Wow.
